Are the results of Laser Vision Correction permanent?

The results of Laser Vision Correction are permanent. However it is important to realize that each individual’s eyes can change. NHLA requires our patients to be over the age of 21 and to have a stable prescription for a stable long term correction.

Will I still need reading glasses?

The goal of Laser Vision Correction is to eliminate your dependency on corrective lenses. However the need for reading glasses is a normal age related condition that commonly occurs for patients over the age of 40. This condition currently cannot be treated with Laser Vision Correction.

How long will I be out of work after having surgery?

It is dependent on your occupation and comfort level. Most patients can return to work after 24-48 hours assuming their vision is adequate for their job. However each individuals healing process varies, some patients may experience more discomfort than others.

Can I drive immediately after surgery?

Patients may experience blurred vision and mild discomfort for the first 24 hrs after surgery. In addition to this, patients receive a sedative prior to the surgical procedure. Therefore you cannot drive immediately after surgery and should plan not to drive for at least 24 hours.

Can I use my HSA / Flex Spending Account?

Yes, NHLA can process payment through your HSA/ Flex Spending Account.
